The Orange de Noirs from Costador looks like and is considered an orange wine, but as it is made from the red Sumoll Negre and Xarel.lo it’s by strict terms a rosé. Grown on high altitudes, fermented in amphora and aged in new and used French oak barrels.

Viticulture and Vinification:

It comes from a vineyard of about 65 years old, with clay and limestone soil and a Mediterranean climate.

Ferments in contact with the skins in amphora, carbonic maceration with 10% of scrape. This red grape orange wine is aged for 9 months in French oak on its lees, carrying out periodic battonage to give it more breadth in the mouth.

Tasting notes:

Yeast, spices and grapefruit.

The palate is balanced, complex, fresh, with powerful tannins and a Mediterranean character.
