Natural red wine made from Grenache and Syrah, aged for 6 months in amphora
Viticulture and Vinification:
From the beginning, Jordi wants to make organic wines with the aim of obtaining high quality products, respecting the environment. Jordi Llorens works with high altitude soils (around 600 m on average) and cultivating the vine without any chemistry.
In the cellar, the same logic: work, a lot of thought and hygiene; but, above all, without chemicals, not even sulfur; resulting in absolutely splendid wines of depth and straightness.
Salaksio is made with 90% Grenache, 10% Syrah. Planted on calcarenite and gypsum soils of the Upper Eocene, between 400 and 600 meters of altitude. It came without D.O. organic and biodynamic agriculture.
Partial destemming, carbonic semi-maceration with temperature control, alcoholic fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks, end of fermentation in amphora
Aging 6 months in buried amphora
Sight: It has a light ruby red color.
Nose: it reveals hints of strawberry, pomegranate, raspberry and white pepper.
Palate: is full-bodied, warm, round, dry, fresh, slightly salty and slightly tannic. In general it is balanced and sufficiently persistent. Very particular, in the mouth it has a light carbon.
