

Blankaforti by Jordi Llorens is a very fresh and juicy red wine with a rustic charcater from Catalonia, vinifed in terracotta jars
Viticulture and Vinification:
From the beginning, Jordi wants to make organic wines with the aim of obtaining high quality products, respecting the environment. Jordi Llorens works with high altitude soils (around 600 m on average) and cultivating the vine without any chemistry.
In the cellar, the same logic: work, a lot of thought and hygiene; but, above all, without chemicals, not even sulfur; resulting in absolutely splendid wines of depth and straightness.
Blankaforti is made with Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Parellada. Planted on dark brown carbonated shales and calcareous sandstones, and red marls and plasters soil, between 400 and 600 meters of altitude. It came without D.O. of organic and biodynamic agriculture. Manual harvest, partial de-stemming, 2-week maceration, alcoholic fermentation in large amphorae buried with native yeasts Aging: 6 months in large amphorae buried on its lees
Tasting notes:
Sight: bright red.
Nose: cassis cream, fruit aromas, excellent freshness.
Palate: astringent tannins with grip, smooth texture, hints of white pepper and violets, a long and clean finish

Rice with meat, smoked, roast lamb, sausages, aged cheeses.
