Petit Manseng - (Izkiota Ttipia)
The petit manseng, known in the Basque Country as izkiriot ttipi, is a white wine grape that grows mainly in south-western France. Produces the highest quality wine within the manseng family of grapes. The name petit ("small" in English) is derived from its small size. The grapes have thick skins. Given the small yields of the vine, many winegrowers produce about 15 hl of wine per hectare. The is usually left on the vine until December to produce a dessert wine with grapes harvested late.
